Fikri Birey , PhD

Fikri Birey

Fikri Birey holds a Ph.D. in Genetics from Stony Brook University in New York, USA, where he studied neuro-glia interactions in the adult CNS using rodent models of mood/stress disorders. He has been a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Sergiu Pasca at Stanford University since 2015, where he has been developing stem-cell based models of human brain development and applying them to uncover previously inaccessible aspects of neurodevelopmental disorders.
