Olaf Spörkel , Dr.

Olaf Spörkel, Coordinator of the National Diabetes Information Center at the German Diabetes Center (DDZ) in Düsseldorf, studied Chemistry at the University of Cologne and at the Technical University Clausthal Zellerfeld. He acquired his Ph.D. at the Institute for Biochemistry at the University of Cologne, where he worked as research associate in the field of Molecular Biology and Molecular Pathobiochemistry of the Central Nervous System. He also was Chief Online Editor of an internet-based information platform at the Vogel Publishing House in Würzburg and Responsible Editor of different professional journals as well as free Journalist (specialized in biosciences).
