Dr. Mol uses the Leica M320 F12 microscope for most of his procedures. The M320 F12 combines apochromatic optics with cutting-edge LED illumination and high-definition imaging technology. It is easy to use, flexible and very maneuverable, providing unique benefits for ENT surgeons. The features Dr. Mol says he most enjoys are:
- The small head, which is not bulky and has a nice smooth finishing “without little pieces sticking out”;
- The versatility, with different ways to use the microscope. Dr. Mol uses just one handle to maneuver;
- The very good concentration of light “without any heat” and the beam lights that are perfectly suited for procedures such as grommets and tympanoplasty surgery;
- The ability to keep the microscope out of the anesthesiologist’s way thanks to the thin design and the long reach allowing to easily move around the patient;
- The possibility to move the tubes and change the angle as required;
- The fact that the microscope is equipped with a LED lighting system, meaning “the bulb can’t blow.”
